We now have 12 rescues on our beneficiaries list. These are divided into two lists with 6 rescues on each list: List A and List B. We alternate the lists to ensure that each group of rescues get the chance to benefit from the funds raised. We have chosen rescues who take dogs from death row and save their lives! All proceeds go to rescues who take pound dogs:
We're currently working with list B.
Doris Banham was a dedicated animal lover throughout her life who sadly died in November 2001. The following year in June 2002 her daughter, Trudie James, decided to honour her life and dedication to animals by establishing The Doris Banham Sanctuary. was set up to help all animals, but as we became increasingly aware of the heart breaking needless destruction of unclaimed dogs in dog pounds, we vowed to help them and the charity has developed to provide an essential life saving rescue service for these forgotten dogs.
We are a non-profit organisation and rely totally on fundraising and donations to save these animals. www.dogsos.co.uk
New Hope Animal Rescue is an independent non destruct rescue in the UK. We believe every animal deserves a new chance at life & where possible do their best to make this happen, thanks to a network of many rescuers.
We aim to help as many animals as we can given our circumstances & in particular animals that have been turned away elsewhere.
We often take in animals in the immediate to save them from death & then place them into other rescues once a space is available. Alot of our work is concentrated on death row pound dogs.

Rochdale Dog Rescue try to prevent dogs being put to sleep at the end of their required 7 day stay. We work closely with two stray dog kennels who provide us with photographs and essential information about the dogs coming in to their care so that we can contact responsible rescues around the country to find safe rescue spaces for these dogs.
The key principals we excel in are accepting dogs with more difficult backgrounds. We are not so interested in 'numbers' i.e. coming forward for the easy to home dogs. We take most of our dogs from deathrow, in council pounds who have run out of time and are in desperate need of a rescue place. We work with our dogs to support them in reclaiming good health, being 'freed' by neutering and building confidence to achieve maturation and a well-balanced temperament. We place our dogs in good homes which should provide them with stability for the rest of their lives. We apply in-depth scrutiny in vetting our homes and do not sacrifice our principals in the face of stress and adversity. We offer enduring support as required and "back- up for life" to our dogs. If you home one of our dogs you are our friend for life!
Once Loved Dog Rescue was set up to help provide care, shelter and permanent homes for unwanted and abandoned dogs. Our work is mainly rescuing and rehoming dogs from UK dog pounds where it is common policy to destroy them after 7 days if they are not re-claimed. We are run entirely voluntarily. As an independent, self funding organisation, we do not have our own centre, but we rely instead on foster carers and boarding kennels. All our dogs are assessed in a home environment, prior to rehoming, this helps to ensure that dogs and new homes are well matched. The areas we cover are Devon, Somerset, Dorset, Wiltshire and Avon. As we are a small rescue, we like to keep homes as local as possible for home checking purposes. We will, however, consider rehoming to other areas.
Maxicare is an appeal launched by Animals in Need. We take stray and unwanted dogs from 'Death Row' and save them from destruction. The dogs are kept until the right home comes along and no dog is ever destroyed, unless on veterinary advice. The kennels we use offer the best possible care for the dogs while they are with us.
Prior to a dog being adopted, a home visit is always made to prospective owners, and an appointment is essential before viewing the dogs. Because we are often unaware of the previous history of the dogs we never re-home them in families with children under the age of five. We do ask for a minimum donation for each dog adopted.
Homeless-Hounds are a group of dedicated people who believe that the unnecessary destruction of healthy dogs is both immoral and unacceptable. Our work is funded by people’s kind donations and our own fundraising events. Our trustees are unpaid and do not receive any expenses so every penny we raise goes towards saving dogs lives.
We work primarily with a kennels in the North West to save the lives of stray and abandoned dogs by finding them places of safety and transporting them there.
We work closely with rescues across the country who take our dogs when they have space and we have a dedicated team of foster families who look after dogs when a space for them can’t be found. Once a space is found we use kind volunteers to help us transport these dogs to safety.
Often abandoned dogs are ill or injured and we need to care for them until they are well enough to move on. Vets fees and caring for these dogs cost a lot of money so we are always looking for people to help with our fundraising because without funds we cannot save these dogs lives.
Canine99 work hard to find suitable homes for all dogs that were previously due to die without our help. We save dogs from council pounds who have served their 7 days as strays or we save dogs who are due to be put to sleep by their owners, sometimes through no fault of their own.. just simply due to being unwanted.
We believe that every dog deserves a chance and we aim to rescue, rehabilitate & rehome every dog who passes through our rescue doors.
We are a small rescue based in London that caters for unwanted dogs in danger of death. These may be from private homes, council run pounds or almost anywhere. We mainly focus on dogs that no other rescues will take. We do not turn our noses up at dogs that have issues, when we can help we will. All of our dogs come with lifetime backup so if you ever have a problem we are just a phone call away.
All of our dogs are neutered, fully vaccinated, wormed, de-flead & micro-chipped before being placed into homes. Our rescue receives no government help or any other funding.

HELPLESS dogs are being abandoned and left to die as pet owners try and cut down on costs during the credit crunch.
Up to 10 dogs are left to fend for themselves every day in Bassetlaw, and the owner of a local boarding kennels says that more animals than ever are being abandoned.
"The stray dog situation has got worse since the credit crunch," said Pamela Denton, owner of Worksop's Carlton Forest Dog Rescue and Boarding Kennels.
"The amount of stray dogs I am taking in now has trebled."
The amount of ill & elderly dogs been left to fend for themselves is heartbreaking, together with the increase in very young pups being dumped.
"We especially have a lot of Staffordshire Bull Terriers. All the dogs are loving and have good temperaments—they just need a loving home," she said.
Carlton Forest is a non destruct kennel. We promote responsible dog ownership, with vaccinating neutering and microchipping. We endeavor to provide dogs with the best care possible while with us, waiting for their owners to come forward or for new forever home.

Our mission is to rescue and re-home in loving forever homes as many dogs as possible with the limited funds and resources we have at this very early stage of the groups existence. The group members collectively have many years of experience in the rescue and re-homing of abandoned and abused dogs and we are all to familiar with the tears and JOY that come with the territory. We all love dogs, in fact between the members of dunroamin K9 rescue we have many dogs of our own. As for the endless abandoned and abused dogs in pounds and rescue centres and even in some peoples back gardens we all think that they deserve life, and a second chance to live that life in a loving forever home. You will read the term "loving forever home" a lot on our web site because we are not about looking back on the life that a doggie guest of ours has had, this is sometimes far too upsetting and non productive, we like to focus on the future, the future of the dogs that just need yours and our help to find love and all the things that go with that.
All Dogs Matter is a registered charity. We are a voluntary dog rescue based in London whose aim is to rescue and rehome dogs in and around London and surrounding areas.
The dogs who come into our care are strays, from pounds or simply dogs whose owners no longer can or want to keep!
Unfortunately, there is a growing demand for rescue services in the current climate, as more and more unwanted dogs find themselves in need of new homes. Our job is to pair each dog with the best new owner for it, ensuring that it will be safe, cared for and loved for the rest of its life.
Our work is done in three stages: identifying and taking on the dogs in need of help; placing the dogs in foster homes where they can be assessed, checking their health, microchipping, neutering & vaccinating them; and finding a home for them.
ADM are a team of passionate dog-lovers. We work hard to help rescue as many homeless dogs we can. We could not do so much without the help of our volunteers, be they foster carers, drivers, home-visitors. We are also grateful for the donations we get for the dogs (money but also food, toys, collars, leads and blankets ...). We always welcome help in any form, so if you think you could give the dogs a little time and help in any way, we would be happy to hear from you.
We are a small self funded non profit organisation based in Cambridgeshire, We rehab, and find forever homes for stray animals, Dogs, Cats, Rabbits and we even have rescued pigs.
We have a small network of volunteers, who foster, help fund raise etc.
I've been involved in animal rescue for 20 yesrs, and still help find places for other animals that we are unable to take ourselves. Ravenswood Pet Rescue have saved, and continue to save, the lives of many death row dogs.
